Hey there,
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are refreshed and ready to start off the new year – here’s to a craft-tabulous 2019! I’m getting things started with some cards using the Spellbinders December Small and Large Die sets. Since these were really made to work together I decided to combine them and while I’ll still have 3 cards for each video, I’m using the flip card die for these 3 and then tomorrow I’ll have some cards using the florals. Here’s what I came up with:
And here are your close-ups:
I really like how this card came out – I love that balloon paper and the colors are muted but still so pretty.
The little flip that circle does is a lot of fun.
Here I wanted to give you a look at how the flip would be for a landscape card. Keep in mind you can flip this 4 different ways for all different looks.
I’m in love with that mustard yellow color – you’ll see it keeps coming back in all the cards lol.
Finally, I wanted to try something different and see if I could create a spinning circle in this card and I’m really pleased with how it came out.
You can watch the video for more details, but basically, I added the fishing line right over top of the right-hand fold and since it’s see-through you can barely tell that it’s there. I looped it all around the card and then hid the knot between my sentiment sandwich.
As always, thanks for stopping by to check out my cards – hope they gave you some ideas to get you started having fun with your kit. If you haven’t tried any of the Spellbinders kits you can check them out through the link below – the January kits are already available and super cute!! xoxo, Sarah
