10 Cards | 1 Kit ā€“ Spellbinders November Card Kit (Part 2 of 2)

Hi There,

Happy we’re half-way there day! Although this time of year I’d be ok with the weeks going a little slower – so much to get done, sigh. I’m back today with part 2 of the Spellbinders November Card Kit. Here’s what I came up with:

and here are your close-ups:

I was tempted to go all out and cover this snow globe with glossy accents or acetate or half of a globe Christmas ornament but reigned myself in…less usually is more šŸ™‚

This is my favorite card from all 10 – I love Rudolph and his Mrs.

7 inside7 close8

This was super simple and quick. I love that they include 2 of every ephemera – sometimes you love a piece so much it’s hard to choose what to use it on!

close8 inside9

What can I say…I’m feeling the pink and the red this season. I could’ve used about 50 of that cocoa mug die cut.

Another quick and easy card. The glossy accents really make those berries pop!

Thanks so much for checking out my cards today – hope I was able to give you some holiday inspiration! xoxo, Sarah

Happy Mail | Tag Flip feat. Crate Paper Merry Days Collection

Hello!

Today I’ve got a tag flip to share with you…I love this so much I wanted to keep it for myself, sigh. But I’m going to have to let it go and hope the recipient enjoys it as much as I do. I was late to the party in ordering the Merry Days stuff so I wasn’t able to get everything I wanted (why, oh why don’t they stock more to begin with??) However between scrapbook.com and amazon, I was able to get the things I really wanted. Here is how I put the tag flip together:

Here are some still shots of the finished tags:

Art Impressions | Pumpkin Spice

Hi-ya,

Today I’ve got a watercolor card to share with you using the Stamptember special edition AI Pumpkin Spice stamp set. This image is adorable – these ladies look like the best of friends chatting over their lattes. Don’t you just want to know what story she is telling? Here is the video of what I came up with:

Here are some still shots of the finished card:

I followed the packaging art for where to add in the shadowing but added some brighter colors to my scene.

Such a cute sentiment – it’s definitely pumpkin latte season.

13 Days of Halloween ā€“ Day 12 | Trick or Treat!

Hey There,

This is my last card for the Halloween season this year. I will have one more video to finish up the 13th day but I need to wait until after I’m sure the recipient has it as I don’t want to ruin the surprise. For this card, I combined two MFT stamp sets to create my trick or treaters. That’s one thing I really love about MFT – their stamps are for the most part sized the same and very easy to mix together (Lawn Fawn does this too).

Here is how I put it together:

Here are your close-ups:

This is another sweet simple card, and probably my second favorite of the bunch this year.

I kept the inside really clean as well.

13 Days of Halloween ā€“ Day 9 | Clean and Simple Bear Wear Halloween Cards

Hello There,

Hope everyone’s week has started off well. I’m very excited to share these cards with you today, I think they are my favorite of the cards this year so far. I love the look of a minimal white card but in all honesty, they take me a lot longer to come up with. Well worth the effort I think though. Here is a look at how I put them together:

And here are your close-ups1

This little guy is so cute – he is so much fun to accessorize and there are loads of accessories in the Bear Wear stamp sets.

That strip of glitter adds just that little extra the card was needing.

1inside

The sentiments in the Witch Way stamp set are so perfect – I use them multiple times every Halloween.

1 bear close2

Isn’t that mask just adorable? This little guy is ready to collect lots of candy.

I think the negative space is always the most difficult part of these type of cards and a little splatter can always help if it’s feeling too white.

2inside

A strip of colored cardstock can do the same thing for the inside.

I love how simple and graphic these are – they’d make really great party invitations!

As always, thanks for stopping by today. xoxo, Sarah

10 Cards 1 Kit · Simon Says Stamp

10 Cards | 1 Kit ā€“ SSS July Card Kit (Part 1 of 3)

Hi-ya!

Hope everyone is having a great week. I’ve been a bit delayed because I’m settling on my first condo soon and I’m beginning to pack things up. I’m really excited not to be a renter anymore, but I don’t know how I’ve accumulated so much stuff over the last 6 years! The paper (and just-craft-things-in-general) addiction is real my friends.

Well, yesterday I finally sat down to edit the film using the SSS July Card Kit and have part 1 to share with you today. As I mentioned in the video I struggled a bit with this kit. It was filled with lots of goodies but I didn’t feel like everything went together (and if you’ve been watching me for even a small amount of time – you know how I love when things match!) So this will be part 1 of 3 because what I ended up doing was creating 5 cards with the stamps, 5 with the papers, and 5 with the stickers and I mixed things together a bit where possible.

Without further ado:

Here are your close-ups:

1

This is the card that started all the stripes (well for this round – I did a card like this with the last kit too.) I’m just obsessed with the look of them.

1 inside

For the inside, I added that leftover strip and stamped the watermelon in black to echo the black from the sentiment on the front.

Prismacolors: 929, 922, 1030, 989, 912

2

I thought this stamp set was so much fun, I just loved all the images and the punny sentiments.Ā I did a lot of paper piecing with the images and thought it gave a nice crisp look to match with stripes.

2 inside

I used my Cricut to write out the inside sentiment – the font style is called Rumors. If you don’t have a Cricut, Lawn Fawn’s Milo’s ABCs stamp set is really similar.

2 close3

I love using those mini wobblers – they are such fun cards to open and don’t get me started on those sunglasses. So cute! I paper pieced the pineapple again and added that lighter green popped up and slightly askew to give some added dimension.

3 inside

I still kept the inside really simple and just stamped that pineapple across the bottom.

3 close4

I wanted to try something different with the stripes on this one and went diagonally. I like how it created the space for the sentiment.

4 inside

I finished off the inside with another fish and a few bubbles.

4 close5

The flamingo is my favorite of this set. I love that die cut! I paper pieced it together like the cactus and pineapple. My flamingo colors might not be quite accurate but I thought that orange and pink were summery and go together so well.

5 inside

Again I finished off the inside by stamping and added a leftover yellow stripe with some thin washi over top.

As always, thanks for stopping by and checking out my cards! xoxo, Sarah
