3 Cards | Spellbinders December Small & Large Die Kit

Hey there,

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are refreshed and ready to start off the new year – here’s to a craft-tabulous 2019! I’m getting things started with some cards using the Spellbinders December Small and Large Die sets. Since these were really made to work together I decided to combine them and while I’ll still have 3 cards for each video, I’m using the flip card die for these 3 and then tomorrow I’ll have some cards using the florals. Here’s what I came up with:

And here are your close-ups:

I really like how this card came out – I love that balloon paper and the colors are muted but still so pretty.

The little flip that circle does is a lot of fun.

Here I wanted to give you a look at how the flip would be for a landscape card. Keep in mind you can flip this 4 different ways for all different looks.

I’m in love with that mustard yellow color – you’ll see it keeps coming back in all the cards lol.

Finally, I wanted to try something different and see if I could create a spinning circle in this card and I’m really pleased with how it came out.

You can watch the video for more details, but basically, I added the fishing line right over top of the right-hand fold and since it’s see-through you can barely tell that it’s there. I looped it all around the card and then hid the knot between my sentiment sandwich.

As always, thanks for stopping by to check out my cards – hope they gave you some ideas to get you started having fun with your kit. If you haven’t tried any of the Spellbinders kits you can check them out through the link below – the January kits are already available and super cute!! xoxo, Sarah

10 Cards, 1 Kit | Patio Party (Part 2 of 2)

Hello lovelies,

Happy Friday!! It’s an extra happy Friday around here because my Simon Says Stamp April card kit arrived in the mail today. I know what I’ll be working on this weekend 🙂

As for now, I’m back today with part 2 of my 10 Cards, 1 Kit featuring the Patio Party collection. You can check it out here:

Here are your still shots:

I LOVE that floral paper – I would totally put up some wallpaper with that pattern. I really wanted to leave a navy border around the card to pull out the small blue flowers, but it just wouldn’t work with the sizing.

The friend like you stamp set has so many great sentiments.

Those flamingos are so much fun.

I don’t do a lot of stamping on patterned paper (mainly because I ‘m worried about the readability) but I really liked how this turned out so I may try it more often.

Those white stripes matched up almost perfectly with the two bottom sentiment lines.

Isn’t that mint color to die for? I could paint every room in my house that color! So soft and cheerful!

Thankfully those balloons worked out – they were the only ones I had!

OHHH I’m so excited with how this card came out! I think it will be really fun to open and I know just who I’m sending it to!

My favorite (or maybe I should say “go-to”) way to finish off the inside of a card is with a matching stripe of paper – mainly because it’s easy.

How do you like to finish the inside of your cards?

It’s funny, the addition of the butterfly was a total afterthought, but now when I look at the card it wouldn’t be complete without it.

and ditto.

The pop of gold foiling gives it a little something extra special.

Hope you liked the cards – as always thanks for stopping by. xoxo, Sarah

Cards for Hospitalized Kids · Let's use and ENTIRE PACK of paper

Echo Park – Imagine That | 46 Cards, 1 Kit

Hello,

Hope your week is starting off well. Today I’m sharing a process video creating as many cards as possible from 1 Echo Park paper pack. I was able to make 46 cards with this pack and have very minimal scraps left. I was inspired to give this a try by Jess Crafts and will be donating my finished cards to Cards for Hospitalized Kids. There are many other places you can donate to and I’d encourage you to give card donation a google if you have any interest.

Without further ado here is the video:

And here are stills of all the finished cards:
