10 Cards | 1 Kit – SSS January 2019 Card Kit (Part 1 of 2)

Hello!

I’ve been crafting all weekend and Part 1 of the SSS January 2019 Card Kit is now ready for you.  A bit earlier than I was expecting to be done, but I wanted to finish up with my winter cards before starting on Valentine’s Day projects so, yay! I had a lot of fun with this kit and made 2 interactive slider cards which are some of my favorites 🙂 Here is what I came up with:

Here are some close-ups of the finished cards:

These little characters are so cute – I love that little skating penguin!

The sentiments in this kit are really wonderful too. I like the font a lot and well, you know how much I love a good pun 🙂

This is a simple one, but I feel like those are the kinds of cards I need the most of. I let this penguin paper shine and set off the sentiment using a label die.

Such a cute little phrase – and that fox is adorable. I wish we had a stamp of him too!

I have so much fun coloring in images like this. There’s something about working with a white pencil (or in my case 10% gray) and watching things come to life on the paper.

Is anyone not singing Frozen while stamping with this? If so you’re lucky – my niece and nephew have burned those songs into my brain.

This was my favorite pattern paper in the kit. Shakers are always fun to make and a great way to get 2 cards out of one pattern paper that you love.

Busy outside…simple inside.

Even with the slider cards (and those are so much fun), this is my favorite card of all. I love that dark blue background embossed with the snowflakes and the pop of colors on the scarves etc. of the snowmen. There’s just something about this card that calls to me.

It’s always hard for me to get pictures of this blue card base (they take on this crazy yellow tone) so I zoomed in on the white background here. You can see that I mimicked the snowflakes on the outside, but flipped them to the bottom here to balance things out a bit.

As always, I really appreciate your taking the time to see what I came up with. Thanks so much for stopping by today! xoxo, Sarah
