10 Cards | 1 Kit – SSS August Card Kit (Part 1 of 2)

Helloooooo!

I’m so happy to be back and sharing my SSS August 10 Cards, 1 Kit video…better late than never right ?!? I absolutely loved this stamp set. The flowers are gorgeous and it was full of so many different little sentiments to really make the cards your own. Here is the first half of what I came up with:

And here are some close-up photos of the finished cards:

That jar of flowers is just such a sweet image and really pops next to the black and white of the script paper and sentiments.

For the inside, I stamped the jar image using Lawn Fawn Minty Fresh Ink. This is a nice light ink so it will be very easy to write over if necessary.

Cutting out those detailed fences was time-consuming, but so worth it in the end.

That poppy was my favorite flower out of all of them. I was so happy with the inside of this card, I considered trying to do the same partial coloring idea for the outside of a card (and still might!)

I’m such a sucker for a rainbow – I literally love one on anything. This card makes me so happy 🙂

Every rainbow needs some gold at the end – this one has some gold washi.

Rainbows, hearts, and clouds – I’m dating myself here but I just keep thinking “Care Bear Stare” when I look at it.

This wreath is just a gorgeous stamp. I really wanted some single flowers and leaves to color and add all the way around the ring. Though I’m not sure I would have wanted to fussy cut all of them!

I was thinking of maybe adding one more flower to the wreath so I fussy cut it out but it didn’t look quite right. Luckily I was able to add it to the inside panel.

I was channeling some sort of flower shop with this card or maybe the inside of a potting shed. The variety of flowers in this set was amazing and I really enjoyed coloring these stamps.

The contrast of that minty fresh and the tangy orange card stock is one of my favorite combinations.
