December Daily 2019 | Part 2: Filling the first 2 hinges – Crate Paper Snowflake

Hi There!

Today its time to start filling in the December Daily. I’m going to take you step-by-step at just a little faster than real-time so you can see how I add each page and flip to the hinges. Let’s jump in:

I’ll add the measurements with the photos below but if you have any questions feel free to let me know and I’ll do my best to help you out. Here are your close-ups:

89

This first page is cut to 5.5 x 6.75 and then scored at .5 for the hinge. Remember when you trim down a sentiment like this to leave that extra half-inch on whichever end you want the hinge, that way it will be centered once the book is put together.

1011

The white panel is trimmed to 3.75 x 6.25.

12

Each pocket page is trimmed to 4 x 12 and then folded in half. The folded inserts for the inside are cut to 7 1/8 x 5 3/8 and then folded in half; the single inserts are trimmed to 3 5/8 x 5 3/8.

1314

The green flap is cut to 3.5 x 5.25, score at 3 inches.

15

The vellum insert is trimmed to 5.5 x 7, score at 5 inches.

16

The white panel is trimmed to 4.5 x 6.5.

17

The light blue flap is trimmed to 5 x 3.5, score at 4.5.

Thanks for stopping by today – tomorrow we’ll fill in two more hinges. xoxo, Sarah
