Hope your week has started off well! Today I’m sharing part 1 of the 10 cards, 1 kit I came up with using the Simon Says Stamp November card kit. This kit included a really adorable stamp set called Woodland Whimsy and I absolutely loved the deer and bunny, though all the critters were cute. I also really loved the tall birch trees in 3 different shapes, those are a great stash builder. I’ve divided the cards into 3 parts this time, these first 3 will be using the stamp set and some pattern papers, next I’ll be back with some featuring the watercolors, and then finally the reindeer die. Here are your first 3 cards:
Here are some still-shots for you:
I love this combination of green and pink together. It’s difficult to see but that Nuvo shimmer pen really adds something extra special to the little deer.
I’ve really kept this very quiet and simple, I think the welcome baby stamp put me into a nursery mode of thinking and you can see that a little bit in all the cards today.
Here again, I’ve opted to keep just the line form of the little critters. It’s nice to bring some white on top of the card for a change.
I pulled in another stripe of that pink here on the inside to help balance the few accents from the front.
No-line coloring on Neenah desert storm is my absolute favorite! I love how soft the colored pencil makes the bunny look and adding the panel to the white cardstock gives him a little extra glow. I’ve pulled in a banner die from my stash and thought it worked quite well with the curved sentiment.
Lastly finishing up again here with that love you sentiment and a bit wider stripe of that blue cardstock.
