Greetings from VERY CHILLY Pennsylvania <<teeth chattering>>
Hope you’ve all had a wonderful Saturday, I had a lovely time celebrating my Dad’s birthday and now that the house is almost empty I’ve found a quiet corner to type up a few notes for you. I’m sharing part 2 of my 10 Cards, 1 Kit using the Simon Says Stamp October Card Kit. For this second half I’m focusing on those gorgeous pattern papers…here’s what I came up with:
Here are some close-ups for you:
I loved these soft, feminine flowers as you will see – I used them on 3 of the cards today. Here I’ve layered over some vellum and heat embossed my sentiment on top.
Finishing up the inside with my usual stamped sentiment and a leftover stripe of the pattern paper.
I thought this family tree paper was really clever. I trimmed it down making sure to keep the stem in the center and then added some color to the leaves and heat embossed my sentiment on top. For some extra texture, I added some tissue to flutter around all 4 sides.
This stamp set included some really beautiful sentiments. It’s perfect for any type of thank you card you need to make.
I wanted to accentuate some of the pretty pinks in the petals of those flowers so I pulled in my Lawn Fawn rose gold embossing powder for this sentiment.
Then added some more of that rose gold with a strip of that pretty Tim Holtz paper.
This is my favorite card of the bunch – I love the pop of that purple card base which also pulled some of that subtle color in the petals. I added a strip of the script paper, again embossing with that rose gold powder and adding some flutter with the tissue.
Another really lovely sentiment…here I’ve done a double strip, adding in some green to match the leaves.
Now with that included mini envelope and this sentiment you probably knew this card was coming. I couldn’t resist creating a small note of thanks…I’ve layered some of the foil paper, that script pattern paper, and then added the envelope on top.
Again finishing up here with a stripe of that foil paper along the bottom.
Hope you enjoyed the cards for today! As always, thanks for stopping by and I’ll be back with more soon. xoxo, Sarah
