Happy Satur-YAY!
Hope you’ve got lots of fun plans this weekend! I’ll be working on some Halloween projects for you today – hopefully, the first video will be on Monday!
As promised though, today I’m sharing part 2 of my 10C1K using the August Spellbinders Card Kit. Here is what I came up with:
Here are your still shots:
I think this is my favorite of this bunch – I love the peachy/pink and blue mixed together and that little pop of copper around the edges.
I’m always trying to think of different ways to finish off the inside of cards so I put the sentiment towards the bottom this time and echoed the papers from the front in a stripe at the bottom.
You guac my world – I need a t-shirt with this on it!
Layered a few banners here for the inside sentiment.
Loved this sloth stamp I combined it here with some of the die-cut leaves and really like how it turned out. I popped a few up for some added dimension and then anchored my sticker sentiment with a stripe of after midnight.
For the inside, I stamped my sentiment with Lawn Fawn Deep Sea Ink and then added a few more leaves and a mint strip along the bottom.
These yoga ladies were my second favorite paper from the kit – I thought this vase gave off a zen vibe and that sentiment is perfect for a yogi.
Tried a smaller stripe on the inside this time and I like it, but if I do this again I’ll add the sticker to some cardstock before placing it down so I don’t get the creases from the stripe underneath.
Lastly, I’m finishing up with this parrot and I can’t think of a better image for that sentiment. I grabbed one of the ephemera birds and popped him on top of the PL card and then added some Nuvo glimmer pen all over it.
I’ve added another sentiment sticker here and accented it with another piece of ephemera.
So that will finish up our Spellbinders August kits – Halloween series will start next week!! xoxo, Sarah
