3 Cards | Spellbinders April Small Die Kit

Hi There,

Hope you’re having a good week so far! At last, I’ve gotten to my April Spellbinders kits and have some fun projects to share with you. Today I’m working with the small set and it has some lovely layered flower dies. Here is what I came up with:

And here are some photos of the finished cards:

I’m so drawn to plummy purple colors and I’ve mixed three of them together in these flowers. I kept this card pretty simple and just let that purple shine. Isn’t that flower bud gorgeous?

A favorite corny joke of mine: What did the bee say to the flower? … What’s up bud.

I know you’re cringing, but what can I say, I love a Dad joke 🙂

I added another bud on the inside for a little something extra to finish this card up.

I toyed around with covering the entire card front in flowers but eventually decided to tone it down to a bouquet. There is so much detail on the larger flowers and that is easier to see with less of them. We’re talking 5 layers of cardstock on some of those babies!

Couldn’t resist adding another blue daisy on the inside here. I really love the look of the white on white flowers too – they would be pretty on a card front all by themselves.

I’ve again layered several flowers here, this time splitting the bouquet on the top and bottom. Since I haven’t mentioned it yet…I pulled in two SSS sets for the sentiments – on the card fronts I used Handwritten Floral Greetings and for the insides I used Kind Flowers, both are from previous card kits and I’ll link them below if they’re still available.

I’m really in love with the little flower buds and added one on its own to finish off the inside here. So sweet.

As always, thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope I was able to give you some inspiration to dig into your kit. xoxo, Sarah
