Hello there,
Man, it feels like this week has flown by – I can’t believe it’s almost Friday. Not that I’m complaining, I’m always ready for Friday 🙂
Today I’m sharing part 1 of my Spellbinders March 10 Cards, 1 Kit – I really liked this kit. The purple and pink colors are some of my favorite shades and I had a lot of fun putting together the cactus and succulent pieces. This is another great die that I know I’ll use for years to come. Here’s what I came up with for the first 5 cards:
And here are your close-ups:
I love this little cactus couple and think this would make a really cute anniversary card. That sentiment was my favorite from the stamp set – love that gorgeous script!
I stamped the inside with this “stick together” sentiment (you know how I love a pun) and added a few cactus needles to finish it off.
I kept this one super simple, the green of that cactus really pops off of the white background. The tags were my favorite pieces of ephemera so I trimmed this one apart and added it for a little something extra there at the bottom.
What a fantastic sentiment – as soon as I saw it, I knew I would end up using both of these.
There was a lot of great ephemera in this kit – I again used one of those tickets and curled the edges for some extra dimension. Really, this card sort of made itself, I just let all the pretty things work together.
I added a little more pink on the inside and kept it simple with just the sentiment.
Wow, this was a labor of love – LOADS of die cutting but well worth it. I just love the faded look of these butterflies going up the card. I went back and forth on whether to add a sentiment and am ultimately glad I did. The subtlety of the sticker worked really well here, I think.
Added in a little of everything from the front to finish off the inside.
These houses were a close second for my favorite pieces of ephemera this month. they’re gorgeous and the outline of copper foil is just so extra. I’ve stamped and fussy-cut the little post and used that as a marker, sort of like a geo-tag.
Here I finished off with that script sentiment again – it’s just so lovely. I think this design would work well for a “we’ve moved” card also.
Thanks so much for stopping by today – hope I gave you some inspiration to dig into your kit. Happy Crafting! xoxo, Sarah
