10 Cards | 1 Kit – SSS December Card Kit (Part 2 of 2)

Hey There,

I’ve got part 2 of my 10 cards 1 kit using the Simon Says Stamp December Card Kit for you today. As I mentioned yesterday – time before Christmas is so quickly running out,  so I’m going to jump straight in again today with the video:

Here are your close-ups:

6

I love how bright this card turned out – it’s almost as if a light is shining on those ornaments.

6 inside

My Christmas cards will forever be stamped with these Mama Elephant sentiments.

6 close7

Christmas in space, lol. I rather like it though.

7 inside

That festive berries distress oxide ink is awfully pretty. I was thinking when I got the kit that I really didn’t need another red/pink but I’m so glad to have it now.

7 close8

So I know that this is supposed to be a cookie sheet, but I’m not sure the recipient would get it right off the bat. What do you think? Should I have popped up the cookie stickers? It needs something but I’m not sure what.

8 inside

Mrs. Clause is so cute – I haven’t made any cookies yet this year. I have roasted some pecans though!

8 close9

This card came together super quick and it’s one of my favorites – I love the red and blue mixed together and that strip of glittery snow to ground the scene.

9 inside

Keeping it quick, I finished off the inside with a couple of stickers too!

9 close10

I really like this bow die – it’ll be great to use for other things on its own. I’d love a larger version too!

10 inside

Love that candy cane stripe.

Well, that will do it for today. As always thanks for stopping by to check out my cards! xoxo, Sarah

13 Days of Halloween – Day 12 | Trick or Treat!

Hey There,

This is my last card for the Halloween season this year. I will have one more video to finish up the 13th day but I need to wait until after I’m sure the recipient has it as I don’t want to ruin the surprise. For this card, I combined two MFT stamp sets to create my trick or treaters. That’s one thing I really love about MFT – their stamps are for the most part sized the same and very easy to mix together (Lawn Fawn does this too).

Here is how I put it together:

Here are your close-ups:

front

This is another sweet simple card, and probably my second favorite of the bunch this year.

inside

I kept the inside really clean as well.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the Halloween Series this year – I’ve really enjoyed making everything for you! xoxo, Sarah

10 Cards | 1 Kit – SSS June Card Kit (Part 2 of 2)

Hello,

I’m back today with part two of my 10 Cards, 1 Kit using the Simon Says Stamp June 2018 Card Kit. Hope you like what I came up with:

Here are some close-ups of the finished cards:

6

I really love this design, but I love almost any two-tone design. Somehow this card feels both masculine and feminine to me at the same time.

6 inside

I really love the look of partial stamping with that large floral spray. I would totally use this panel on the front of a card too.

6 close7

I mentioned it yesterday but I’ll say it again – these papers are lovely…pardon the paperlovely pun 🙂

7 inside

and again, the mix of the outline and solid stamps together makes for some great sentiments.

7 close8

I decided to do some more no-line coloring today. This was my first time using gray background paper and stamping with the hippo ink worked really great.

8 inside

The thanks stamp was a little small but combining it with that floral helps to balance out all the white space.

8 close9

These tulle shakers are so much fun and since there’s no foam tape, much easier to mail!

9 inside

Since the shaker is so busy I kept the inside simple with just the sentiment and extra stripe of that pretty purple sky.

9 close10

I kept this last card fairly simple though I added a lot of stamping – I really loved this paper but wasn’t quite sure what to do with it so I thought stamping with a colored ink would be nice. Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide did the trick.

10 inside

I finished this off with my favorite sentiment, an extra stripe of the patterned paper, and then finally a strip of some MFT Pure Plum card stock.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, hope I was able to give you some inspiration! xoxo, Sarah

13 Days of Halloween – Day 9

Hello everyone,

Happy Monday? Well we made it through anyways, right? Today I’m struggling through a massive headache, so this is going to be a quick post. I’d like to share with you 2 more cards I made using the Simon Says Stamp Halloween Card kit. I’m really enjoying working with this kit! Here is the video of what I came up with:

And here are some close ups of the finished cards:

1 Card Front1 Inside1 Card and Envelope

I wanted to create a silhouette with just some moon glow on that house and I think the final result worked out really well. This is a really simple design, but one of my favorite in the series so far.

2 Card Front2 Inside2 Card and Envelope

I really like the pop of the orange ink on that white paper, I think it would be really fun to stamp that in some orange pigment ink and emboss it with the glow in the dark powder too. (But I thought of that after I started stamping and hadn’t used any powder on my card base).

I really like that so many stickers were included in this kit. I don’t use them very often on my cards and like pushing myself to try to use more of them.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my cards.

xoxo, Sarah

13 Days of Halloween – Day 4

Hello Everyone,

Happy hump day! Today I’d like to share with you 3 cards I created using the Simon Says Stamp Halloween Card kit this kit is sold out but the link will list everything included for you and most things are still available separately.

I plan to do the usual 10 cards with this kit, but since I’m doing daily videos (and the long ones take FOREVER to upload to YouTube) I thought I’d break them up a bit. Here’s the video of what I came up with for today:

Here are some close ups of the cards:

I had to go with the cat stamp first, that “meow-lloween” sentiment is adorable!

This card was a bit of a struggle and I was bummed I couldn’t make the shaker window work, but I’m happy with the finished results. I love these stickers from Pebbles, some of them are holographic and I’ll definitely be using those babies.

I know it’s nothing new but using that distress oxide ink to make the moon was new to me and I’m really tickled with how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by today, stay tuned for more spooky goodness to come tomorrow!

xoxo, Sarah

Birthday Card | Distress Oxide Ink

Hi-ya,

I hope everyone’s week is going well. Today I wanted to share a birthday card I made with you. I started off working with some of the new distress oxide inks and then used a mix of stamps from Simon Says Stamp and Ellen Hutson. Here is what I came up with:

This was the first time I worked with blending the distress oxide inks and I was really happy with how smoothly the colors came together. I used Worn Lipstick, Fossilized Amber, and Spiced Marmalade.

For the front of the card I used Simon Says Stamp – You matter stamp and die set along with one of the peonies from the Ellen Hutson – Mondo Peony set.

Then I finished it off with some Studio Katia Crystal Fusion Sequins – LOVE these!

Card Front

For the inside, I used the Ellen Hutson – Spread the Sparkle stamp set to complete the birthday wishes.
