Halloween 2019 | 3 Cards, Right at Home – Boo Crew

Hi there,

Today I’ve got some cards to share with you using the Right at Home – Boo Crew stamp set. This is a new stamp company (for me) and I really enjoyed working with these images. That dragon is my favorite but the trick or treaters are really all adorable and I loved the sentiments that were included! I started out by stamping the images a bunch of times and then colored them in with my copics. From there, I put together a few scenes and I think these are some of my favorite cards this year – especially the ink blended background. Here’s what I came up with:

Here are your still shots:

Sometimes a scene can be created with this simplest thing…here I’ve used one of my large Sizzix circles to create a moon behind the little characters. I’ve placed that directly on the black card base and then added my characters on top.

Love that sentiment with the mix of fonts. I’ve placed it off to the side just for something different and added in a couple characters for some extra pop.

I’ve mixed and matched my copics a little to give the cards some variety but all of the colors I used are: R20, R43, YR04, YR07, Y35, YG25, YG45, RV63, RV66, E11, E15, E18, N4

I do love an ink-blended background and don’t know why I don’t do them more often! I’m going to have to remember to do a bit more of this in the Christmas series. I’ve again created a moon and then pulled in Mama Elephant’s City Sidewalk stamp set to add a city behind these little guys. I felt I needed to balance the gray on the bottom a bit and finished up with the bat in the sky.

Keeping the inside simple, I’ve stamped the sentiment and added a strip of washi along the bottom.

Distress Oxide ink-blend colors: Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet, Iced Spruce.

Here I’ve pulled in the Simon Says Stamp Tri-square die and added a character into each of the frames. I’ve glued the kids directly on the card front and then popped up the frame with some foam tape for dimension. Lastly, I’ve heat embossed the sentiment and added that along the bottom with the little bat.

I’m stamping the sentiment here with some Lawn Fawn – Fake Tan ink to pull in in a bit more orange from the front and then added that little dragon (my favorite) to finish things up.

As always, thanks for stopping by today. Hope you enjoyed the cards and you are having fun creating your own Halloween projects! xoxo, Sarah
