Woo Hoo! Let’s get the weekend started – I’ve got lots of fun projects I want to work on and a few kits to unbox for you! Today I’m posting a Watercolor Wednesday on a Friday for you – this is a birthday card and I wanted to post it on the actual birthday so…
Today I’m working with another Stamping Bella image, I just love her stuff so much. I was scrolling through Simon Says Stamp looking for some Christmas images to add to the collection this year, saw this guy and he was just too perfect to pass up. I’ll show you in the video how I slightly altered the image by masking off a portion of the stamp and then penciling in an addition. Here is how the card came together:
And here are some close-ups for you:
I’m really pleased with how that tie turned out – I usually leave her images just as they are so I don’t have a ton of practice blocking things off and/or drawing things in addition so I’m happy it looks the way I was hoping.
I love watercolor so much and it takes so much time that I tend to just let the image sing on its own for the front. Here I did add in a small sentiment strip and then popped the whole panel up for some dimension.
On the inside, I added the rest of the sentiment and left that stripe run the full width of the panel.
Hope you enjoyed the card for today and maybe you’ll be inspired to alter a stamp too! xoxo, Sarah
