10 Cards | 1 Kit – SSS July 2019 Card Kit (Part 2 of 2)

Sunday Funday!

Hope you’re having a great weekend – it’s been rainy here, perfect crafting weather. Today I’m sharing part 2 of my 10 Cards 1 Kit using the Simon Says Stamp July Card Kit. As I mentioned yesterday I loved this kit and had so much fun working with it. I was really in the mood for interactive cards so I’m starting off with a shaker and slider card for you. Here’s what I came up with for the final 5:

Here are some close ups of the finished cards:

Spinner cards are so much fun! I don’t know why I don’t make more of them. Here I’ve doubled up on the bees for each side of the spinner and flipped up the wings on the top layer to add some extra flutter.

I’ve kept the inside clean and stamped my sentiment low so it doesn’t show through the window.

Next, I’ve created a slider card. These two are meant to bee-together so I’ve kept one stationary on the right and the one on the left can slide over to meet up. I used the stamp where they are holding hands and cut it right down the middle so it meets up perfectly when they are next to one another.

Again, keeping the inside simple since there is so much happening on the front.

I wanted to use the stripes from the front of the packaging – this paper is so nice and thick! Here I’ve stamped directly on the card base and then layered the paper and cardstock images on top.

Sorry this is so hard to see, my camera has a really hard time with blues for some reason. If anyone has any tips on that, they’d be much appreciated!

Here I’ve stamped out that fun swirl and helped the smaller sentiment stand out by giving it some pop with that bright yellow. Then I finished up by adding the bee on a mini wobbler.

Here I’ve colored in the BEE with the same copic marker I used on the bee’s wings.

Lastly, I wanted to use the mommy to bee sentiment – she is so cute with her little hands over her tummy. I’ve popped up the bee over the little dot on the stamped heart and then I had a bunch of hexagons left from the first set of cards so I’ve added in a line of those to create some movement.

Again, keeping the inside simple here with just the stamped sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today – hope I was able to inspire you to make some of your own bee-utiful cards 🙂 xoxo, Sarah
