Hello There,
Can you believe it’s the last week of March Madness?? Hope your month hasn’t been as hectic as mine, but I’m super proud of myself for having made it this far! Today I’m sharing 3 cards I made with the Spellbinders February Small Die Kit. It’s a gorgeous butterfly and flower spread and I used a bunch of soft spring colors to bring it to life. Here’s what I came up with:
Here are some close ups of the final cards:
I wanted to try to use these die-cut crowns in different ways – so for this card, I thought I’d use just a portion along the top and bottom, rather than the sides. A lot of times I forget that I don’t have to use the entire die-cut if I don’t want to.
The front felt so busy to me, I just added in a simple stripe of green and a few flowers to finish off the inside.
I love that chartreuse green – all the other colors just “pop” off of it. Here I kept the dies horizontal but placed them together backward to create a center line. This would’ve been a great place to add a sentiment too, but I felt like it would be too much with all the flowers so I added a little ribbon and bow.
Again, keeping the inside simple with just the die cut sentiment.
This last card is my favorite. I wanted to create a continuing lace pattern and love the way this looks. I think it’d be gorgeous to recreate as a white-on-white look too. I trimmed out just the center circular pieces and layered them together, finally finishing off with some pink and purple flowers.
I again kept the inside simple with just the die-cut greeting.
Thanks so much for stopping by today – hope I was able to give you some inspiration to create some of your own spring cards! xoxo, Sarah
