Hey There,
Hope your week has started off well. Today I’m sharing 6 cards I created using the Hero Arts January 2019 Card kit. And I just so happens that their February Kit is officially available for purchase today, wish I could say I planned that but I’m definitely not that organized, lol. I really loved this kit. The storefront, the flowers what can I say? Those scenes were a joy to put together and anyone who receives a card like that is sure to have a smile on their face. I added in a few simpler, less time-consuming card ideas for you too. Here’s the video of what I came up with:
Here are some stills of the finished cards:
Such a pretty shabby-chic picture!
Simple on the outside, simple on the inside.
I often times make it to some of my kits after a holiday has passed so I try to throw in some non-holiday card ideas when possible. This works for anyone, anytime.
Isn’t that ink such a beautiful deep periwinkle? I’ve got to try to find one of these ink pads on eBay. Why, oh why do they retire perfect colors? sigh.
These scenes were so much fun to build. I love that they included a bicycle and that the die cuts out the wheels!
Even just a few of these watercolor elements on their own would make a pretty card.
Zig: 067, 060, 033, 038, 092, 091, 050, 063, 260, 075, 022, 230, 084, 043, 902, 046, 041, 048, 044, 222, 082, 080, 021
This is my favorite card of the bunch. I love the “sketched” look of the storefront – it really allows all the smaller items to pop off the page.
This blush inkpad is one of my favorites and it’s been retired too – thankfully it’s still got plenty of juice.

I can’t believe it took me this long to come to realize I could do a see-through window on the front of the card. I’m really pleased with how it came out. This would make a pretty shaker card too.
I put a lot fewer flowers on the front this time so I left just a single on the inside as well.
Copics: E11, E13, E15, E18, R20, R43, R35, N0, 0
Did I mention I love this bike? This card isn’t quite as simple as the first two, but it hardly took any time at all and you could substitute that sentiment with just about anything you wanted it to say.
I realized I hadn’t used any of the hearts at this point, so I cut a few from some pink scraps and added them just below the sentiment.
Copics: YG41, R20, R43, R35, R27, R17
Thanks so much for stopping by today – hope I was able to give you some inspiration for your kit! xoxo, Sarah
