Hi-ya!
Boy it’s been a week…but at last, I’ve got this video edited for you! Today I’ve got part 1 of the Spellbinders January card kit and I LOOOOOVED this kit – the typewriter is to die for and I really loved the ephemera. The dimensional stickers too – here’s hoping for more of those to come in future kits! Here’s the video of what I came up with for the first five.
Here are your close-ups:
I’m such a sucker for teal and red together – I love that pop of the two vibrant colors.
These sentiments were my favorite in the kit, the font is great – it reminds me a little of Milo’s ABC’s by Lawn Fawn.
This was my favorite of the bunch – I was so bummed that the footage was corrupted. Again I’ve got that mix of mint and red and I love those big hearts popping out of the typewriter.
This ink is really difficult to photograph – it’s such a beautiful minty color though.
More, more, more of these dimensional stickers please – they make such cute easy cards.
The pink and white striped paper has an uncolored corner, I don’t know if that was intentional or not, but I loved it and used it on two cards.
This is my second favorite card. It took some time to make that background work but I’m so happy with how it turned out. I’m showing my age (and I was young) but I remember listening to the radio and waiting for a song to come on to record.
Pretty script – it goes great with the cursive font on the front.
Again, I loved the ephemera in this kit. I thought it was really cute to have the “LOVE” popping out of the typewriter. I also enjoyed the glossy card bases they included. I usually don’t go for shiny/textured card stock but I liked working with these.
This sentiment was a bit difficult to line up for me – I thought I had it, but I can see now that “HUGS.” is a little too high…sigh.
I have had so much fun working with this card kit – I can’t wait to show you the rest! Hope you were able to gain some inspiration for your own valentines. xoxo, Sarah
