10 Cards | 1 Kit – SSS May Card Kit (Part 1 of 2)

Hi -ya,

Happy hump day! It’s been so rainy and depressing here the last few days and finally, we got some sunshine and it was a much-needed kick in the pants to get the voiceovers done for these 10 Card, 1 Kit videos. Funny enough, my June Card Kit came in the mail today so I promise those cards will be out much sooner. Now, without further ado here is your video:

Here are some close-up photos:

I tried to come up with some different types of layout/background ideas and really like how this one came out; especially the way the heart stickers look peeking out over the edge.

I LOVE the sentiments that were included in this kit. I will use this one in particular, very often.

I love that SSS has included dies in the last two kits (well, I’m including the Mother’s Day kit in that) – Please keep them coming!!

There was a little black left in the nooks and crannies of that hummingbird stamp so he ended up more of a grayish-blue but I still like it ok.

How serendipitous that this ink was almost a perfect match for the yellow in the paper collection. I don’t have a ton of these, so I was really excited when I was digging in my supplies and found this one. AND I love the sentiment on that sticker.

You’ll see that I did some stamp surgery in the next video and came up with the sentiment “I love you”. If I had thought of it earlier, it would have been perfect for this card too.

This sentiment is so much fun – I’m starting to really like a nice dark stamp over top of a pretty patterned paper, and I often forget about washi for my cards, I usually end up only using it for happy mail but it’s great on cards too!

Again, the font, the sentiment – all great.

I’m a bookworm and have a wall-to-wall bookshelf in my apartment so you know I’m loving this patterned paper. This is a perfect card for one of your book-loving friends.

You could never tell that this stamp has been cut apart. Don’t be afraid to make stamps work for you!

I hope you like the cards I came up with, and I was able to give you some inspiration. As always thanks for stopping by to check out my cards! xoxo, Sarah
