Happy Mail | Tag Flip feat. Crate Paper Merry Days Collection

Today I’ve got a tag flip to share with you…I love this so much I wanted to keep it for myself, sigh. But I’m going to have to let it go and hope the recipient enjoys it as much as I do. I was late to the party in ordering the Merry Days stuff so I wasn’t able to get everything I wanted (why, oh why don’t they stock more to begin with??) However between scrapbook.com and amazon, I was able to get the things I really wanted. Here is how I put the tag flip together:

Here are some still shots of the finished tags:

13 Days of Halloween – Day 13 | Halloween Embellishment Box

Greetings from stormy Baltimore…it’s been raining here all day. Oh well, I guess I’ll just have to stay in and do some more crafting this weekend 😉

This will be my final Halloween video for the season…I wanted to wait to be sure it was received before posting so as not to ruin the surprise and now that I’m sure it’s arrived I can share it with you.

Here is how I put the goodie box together:

Here are some close-ups:

13 Days of Halloween – Days 6 & 7 | Halloween Embellishments

Hello There,

Today I’ve got some embellishments to share with you. I spent all day last Saturday working on these and had so much fun. I sat down at my table and just went to work and before I knew it…it was dark outside! Since I made so many the video was VERY long so I decided to split it into two and since I’m running out of days to complete my 13 days of Halloween I’m posting both at the same time. Here are the 2 videos of what I created:

And here are still shots of the finished goodies:

Happy Mail | Loaded Embroidery Hoop – Pink Paislee Confetti Wishes

I’m back with more happy mail today. This time sharing some hoop mail I made using Pink Paislee’s Confetti Wishes collection. This collection is so much tropical fun – you can’t look at it without smiling! I made this for an exchange for my half-birthday month, so I’m waaay behind in posting it but I’m really happy with how it came out so I wanted to make sure to share it with you. Here is the video of what I came up with:

And here are some close-ups:

full hoop

Here is the full frame just as it was mailed out.

empty hoop

Here is the empty hoop…let’s fill it up 🙂

front hoop close

This is a close up of the front – I used cut-a-parts, chipboard stickers, and some tissue paper flowers to create a little collage in the center.

tag 1

I created two tags – this first one has some ephemera, chipboard, and stickers. I finished it off with a tab on the side and some orange baker’s twine.

tag 2

The second tag was made combining two of the pattern papers and using one of the tag ephemera pieces – I left that loose so it could move around. I again added a tab and some stickers to finish it off.

I packaged these back-to-back with a cello bag that I saved and topped it with some leftover papers.

frames full

I altered some of the frames from the ephemera and packaged those back-to-back in the same way as the tags.

Here are close-ups of each individual frame:

I used some of the really colorful striped paper to create a rosette and added that ephemera record and some tissue flowers in the center.

mini shaker 1

I also made some mini shaker windows. Some backgrounds were cut-a-parts and others were made from patterned paper and some stickers. I used the 2-inch waterfall pockets from We R Memory Keepers and they make projects like this so easy because you only have to fuse 1 side.

mini shaker 2

I again packaged these back-to-back like the others.

I created a little pouch of stickers, cut-a-parts, and ephemera for my recipient. This collection is just too fun not to spread around!

envelopes & washi

I also added in some handmade envelopes and a washi share.

And I finished up the handmade goodies with some flair buttons – I’m totally loving my button maker.

birthday card

Since this was birthday themed, I thought I’d create a birthday card to send as well. This purple background with the leaves is one of my favorites so I thought I’d let that shine and then popped up a piece of ephemera and placed one of the stickers on top.

card inside

Inside I added a few stickers.

And that finishes up the project for today. Hope you enjoyed what I came up with and Happy Birthday to any of you who are celebrating today! xoxo, Sarah

Happy Mail | Tag Flip + Giveaway Winner

Hello There,

First and foremost a big congratulation to Judy Kilgore – you are the winner of my Valentines Day Kit giveaway! Judy I’ve sent you a message through YouTube – let me know your address and I’ll get it in the mail to you 🙂

Screen Shot 2018-01-21 at 12.27.14 AM

I’ve used a mix of the remaining products from my kit and some of the older Crate Paper Heart Day collection to put to together a tag flip for one of my penpals. You can check out the process video here:

Here are some stills of the finished project:

tag flip1

I love those little mini tags – they’re so cute!

A small paper bag is a great way to add lots of goodies without the risk of things falling off when you use glue dots or paper clips.

That love you ephemera would make a great bookmark too.

I’m in love with these We R Memory Keepers pockets – they work so great for all kinds of shaker pouches.

Such a cute puppy and sentiment. I’m working on putting less inside my shaker pouches, I always want to go for more sequins, but I really think they look better in the end with less.

I keep calling these “paperclips” in my voice-overs – I do know they’re clothes pins – lol!

Hey there Honey Bear 😉

No need to add a thing to this tag – it’s perfect just the way it is.

I got this sequin trim in a Paper Pumpkin kit a few years ago – it’s so lovely and something different to add as an embelishment.

Thanks for stopping by today – xoxo, Sarah

12 Days of Christmas | Fa La La – Shaker Tags

Hello there…running late again today. Does anyone else feel constantly behind during the holidays? Maybe it’s just me.

I am IN LOVE with this collection from Crate Paper – I should have bought all the things! I’m tempted to get them now while I still can, but I have way too much to work with this year already and I’m running out of time. What is super great about it is that you can make feminine and masculine designs from it. I’m going to use most of these to decorate gifts for my family and I’ve ticked off a tag for everyone I needed to. Take a look at the process video here:

I know that went by really fast – here are some still shots for you:

So much fun – I could make these every day!

That line of tags was cut from the bottom of a 6×6 sheet of paper and ended up being one of my favorite pieces of ephemera.

Ok…I know they’re not terribly masculine, but probably as close as glitter is ever going to get…

This one is my favorite…

…so it get’s two pics. Mint green, pink, and gold – what’s not to love?

I especially love all the gold accents that are in this collection.

I forgot to mention it in the video, but the Tim Holtz Small talk stickers worked great to add some extra sentiments.

I’m super stingy with that lucy’s little things purely peppermint mix – I love it and just want to hoard it.

This tag is super tiny, but one of my favorites. I really like the look of the layered tags, I’ll definitely do more of that on future shakers.

As always, thanks for stopping by – xoxo, Sarah
