10 Cards | 1 Kit ā€“ Spellbinders December Card Kit (Part 2 of 2)

Helloooo

Happy Friday!! Hope you’ve got lots of fun plans this weekend – I’ve got a trip to Tuesday Morning on the books for tomorrow morning (if it’s not snowing) but other than that I’ll be working on the Simon Says Stamp January card kit and then some Valentine’s day projects for you šŸ™‚ For today, I’m sharing part 2 of my 10 cards, 1 kit from the Spellbinders December kit. Here’s the rest of what I came up with:

Here are some close-ups of the finished cards:

6

I just love a clean and simple card – though they are sometimes the hardest for me to make as I also like to add lots of things!

6 inside

I kept the inside of most of these cards simple so they could be used now instead of having to wait for next Christmas.

6 close7

I love the look of clustered ephemera and these pieces lent themselves to it really well. What do you think of the tag with no ribbon? I thought about adding some but was worried it would be too much.

7 inside

Again, I can’t get enough of that font!

7 close8

This is my favorite card of the whole bunch. I love the reverse die cut of the snowflakes and all the layers. That cityscape was my favorite of the ephemera pieces – it looks just like the row of buildings on my street!

8 inside

Plain and simple – you can use this anytime (well, as long as the snow is appropriate).

8 close9

I’ll be totally honest…this is my least favorite, I love that pink paper but it needs something more and I just can’t figure out what. Maybe a sentiment?

9 inside

Again I left things simple so I can use it any time.

9 close10

And I’m finishing up here with one last college. Every time I see a squirrel, I automatically do that Doug dog “squirrel” voice from Disney’s Up, lol. My cat knows to come running when he hears it and always jumps to the window to see what’s going on. He’s our neighborhood watch and nothing gets past his swishing tail!

10 inside

Just a few snowflakes and some glitter to brighten up the inside with plenty of room to write a note.

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out my cards. xoxo, Sarah

10 Cards | 1 Kit ā€“ SSS December Card Kit (Part 2 of 2)

Hey There,

I’ve got part 2 of my 10 cards 1 kit using the Simon Says Stamp December Card Kit for you today. As I mentioned yesterday – time before Christmas is so quickly running out,Ā  so I’m going to jump straight in again today with the video:

Here are your close-ups:

I love how bright this card turned out – it’s almost as if a light is shining on those ornaments.

6 inside

My Christmas cards will forever be stamped with these Mama Elephant sentiments.

6 close7

Christmas in space, lol. I rather like it though.

7 inside

That festive berries distress oxide ink is awfully pretty. I was thinking when I got the kit that I really didn’t need another red/pink but I’m so glad to have it now.

7 close8

So I know that this is supposed to be a cookie sheet, but I’m not sure the recipient would get it right off the bat. What do you think? Should I have popped up the cookie stickers? It needs something but I’m not sure what.

8 inside

Mrs. Clause is so cute – I haven’t made any cookies yet this year. I have roasted some pecans though!

8 close9

This card came together super quick and it’s one of my favorites – I love the red and blue mixed together and that strip of glittery snow to ground the scene.

9 inside

Keeping it quick, I finished off the inside with a couple of stickers too!

9 close10

I really like this bow die – it’ll be great to use for other things on its own. I’d love a larger version too!

10 inside

Love that candy cane stripe.

Well, that will do it for today. As always thanks for stopping by to check out my cards! xoxo, Sarah

10 Cards | 1 Kit ā€“ SSS December Card Kit (Part 1 of 2)

Hello There,

My SSS kit finally arrived last week! I was stalking my mailman again šŸ™‚ So happy to have this in my hands and get crafting. As we’re all so busy this time of year, I’m going jump right in…here is what I came up with for the first 5 cards:

Here are your close-ups:

1

This little fawn is so cute – I love his little white spots and tail! Every time I get some of these watercolor papers I think to myself I need to buy a pack – maybe this time I will!

1 inside

That red was tough to match – it’s such a nice vintag-y hue.

1 close2

Oh my, I love that marvy snow pen! Don’t you just want to reach out and touch that puffy goodness?

2 inside

I’m loving this Christmas cheer sentiment – I can already tell it’s going to make it into the Christmas rotation every year.

2 close3

Chibi cards are so much fun to make – I hope my explanation was clear. They might look a little intimidating but once you’ve made one or two it gets much easier.

3 inside

I’m loving that red washi tape this year – I think it’s made it into almost every video!

3 close4

That candy cane die is really cute – you could trim it down to just a single candy cane too if you wanted.

4 inside

I felt like this needed a little more black to balance all the red on the front, so I sprinkled around some snowflakes.

4 close5

I’m finishing up today with Santa. This is such a cute image and was really fun to color. I, of course, added some marvy snow pen to give his hat a little fluff.

5 inside

And the inside needed a little green so I added the tree along with the sentiment.
