10 Cards | 1 Kit – SSS Limited Edition Valentine’s Day Kit (Part 1 of 2)

Hello there,

As promised I’m back today with Part 1 of my 10 Cards 1 Kit using the SSS Limited Edition Valentines Day Kit. I loved the critters in this stamp set, they are so adorable and having the second stamp set with all the extra sentiments was great. I always like when ephemera is included – those end up as my some of my favorite cards!

Here is what I came up with for the first five:

and here are some still shots of the finished cards:

1

Sweet and simple. I love when there’s a piece of ephemera that perfectly matches the pattern paper like this. I mean this card basically made itself.

I added in this stamp to complete the sentiment and finished up with with a stripe of one of the pink patterned papers.

Again, these critters were so cute and a lot of fun to color. I don’t have a lot of gray copics, so I added in my memento black marker for the darker portions.

I always like the way it looks to add a “shadow” stamp of the character from the front on the inside. I should really do that more often.

Oh, this is my favorite of the bunch – I just love those florals and that butterfly just makes me smile!

That roses sentiment is perfection – I don’t think I’ve seen any other stamp version of the poem, such a great idea.

Gatefold cards are a great way to change things up once in a while. Those little nuzzling foxes are so sweet.

I added a pop of color with that belly band I continued the blue ink on the inside.

I had the idea of a quilt square when I was putting this together, I should have continued by lining up the pink square along the side edge but at the last minute centered it. It turned out ok but is probably my least favorite.

I do like the inside alright, that floral pattern paper is gorgeous.

Thanks for stopping by today – hope I was able to give you some inspiration to use with your kit. xoxo, Sarah
