Hello there!
Man, my week has been crazy so far. I’ve still got presents to wrap, roasted pecans to make and of course videos to film. Of course you have to make time for cards and unwinding too. I had a lot of fun sitting down with this SSS kit, I alway love when they include the Doodlebug papers and this one was especially great since the stamp set was made to match. Here is the video of the first 5 cards I’ve come up with:
Here are some still shots for you:
I was drawn to this adorable little cake right away, it had to be the first card I made.
and this cut apart sentiment was perfect!
It’s a really small touch, but the shine from that nuvo drop and the shimmer pen really do make a difference in the finished card. I need to remember to use my nuvo drops more.
These doodlebug scenes make for such easy cards.
I was thrilled when I saw that those sequins would work as ornaments. I could have added a few to the largest balls in the wreath, but I decided to let the tree shine. And they really do shine when they catch the light.
I love the color mint. I love the color pink. When they’re combined – sheer perfection.
This card will most definitely go to my niece at some point. I love that sentiment – if anyone knows of a stamp set that has something like this, please share it with me!
Those accent stickers – too cute.
Ok. I’m going to toot my own horn here…I’m really proud of this card. It took me a while to decide how I was going to create that rooftop, but I was determined and in the end I decided that simpler was better. I’m SO excited with the result!
I don’t know who’s going to receive this card yet, but I hope they love it as much as I do.
Simple straight forward sentiments are always great for stash building.
I toyed with trying to keep him from coming all the way out of the chimney but I think it works ok this way. If the recipient doesn’t want to keep the card (I’m cringing saying that) they can always re-use Santa as a tag or bookmark.
Mrs. Claus is adorable and I love that she’s not wearing a hat because now she can double as a grandma on another card.
You have to smile when you see that #Squadgoals sentiment.
I know I end every blog post this way…but thanks for stopping by today. I really do appreciate you taking the time to look at my work. I know how much it inspires me to see things others come up with and I hope I’m able to pass some inspiration on to you as well. xoxo, Sarah
