4 Cards | Spellbinders November Small Die Kit

Hello There,

Well…it’s 65 degrees in Baltimore today, but I’ve been working away on some Christmas goodness, so let’s get a running start on the holiday and we’ll just agree to pretend snow is falling outside the window! Today I’ve got 4 cards for you using the Spellbinders November 2018 Small Die Kit – here’s what I came up with:

Here are some stills of the finished cards:

I really enjoyed this die set, I think the sprigs are probably my favorite piece because you can use them for mistletoe, holly and they’d be great to stick with some flowers too.

I’ve been wanting to use this sentiment and this card was the perfect fit.

This deer is gorgeous, but oh the detail and it did not disappoint! A friend was looking at it this weekend and oohed and ahhed over it so it will probably be sent for her Christmas card this year.

This card is my favorite of the batch. I love how simple it is. The green and red are so bright and I’ve never been a big mirrored cardstock person but I really like the gold so I think I need to start working with that more often.

These sentiments are so great – I use these stamp sets for SO MANY cards over the holiday season.

Do any of you send new year’s cards? Just curious if this is a thing that I’m unaware of. I would probably use this on a scrapbook or journal layout so I’m thinking that’s why it was included. Or I guess you could put Merry Christmas on the front and Happy New Year on the inside.

I am in LOVE with this gold washi – it is soooo shiny and perfect. (and we’re getting two more colors in the kit this month too!!)

Thanks so much for stopping by today – more Christmass goodness coming soon. xoxo, Sarah

10 Cards 1 Kit

10 Cards | 1 Kit – SSS January Card Kit (Part 1 of 2)

Hope the new year is treating everyone well! Today I’m sharing with you the first half of my 10 Cards, 1 Kit for the January Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. I had so much fun with this kit and I LOOOVE the stamp set. At first, I wasn’t sure about those block word stamps, but once I stamped them out I wanted to use them on everything!

Here’s the video of what I came up with:

Here are some stills of the final cards:

1 front

These envelopes are so cute. Originally I thought I’d put those small cut-outs inside them, but it was too difficult to maneuver them in and out so I decided to glue them on top instead.

1 inside

These stamps are wonderful. That scripty font and the subtle heart in the tail of the y. Love it!

1 close up

I did some embellishment on the envelopes that came in the kit too but didn’t video it because of the time. I’ll share more detailed photos of those in the next post.

2 front

That stripe of cut-a-parts makes for such an easy card front. I wanted to add just a touch more with that sweet sentiment and help it pop with that outline of red.

2 inside

I rarely go to pigment inks, but that Delicata pink ink is fabulous.

3 close up

Don’t you just love that mint and pink combo?

3 front

Or a mint and black combo for that matter. I’ll take all the mint I can get lately.

3 inside

Again that script is just so pretty and I thought that line of xoxox was a nice accent.

3 envelope

The cut-a-parts in this paper pack are really great. I’d like to get one of the 12 x 12 scrapbook sheets to cut apart for larger cards too.

4 front

I originally planned to stamp those words on white and then back them with red and pink but decided it would be too bulky. Ultimately  I’m happy with the design but I think I would have liked the letters in white better.

4 inside

Sweet and simple inside…xoxo says it all.

4 close up

Those MFT windows are a super easy way to make a shaker card. If you’re tired of layering foam tape…you should give them a try.

5 front

This background paper was one of my favorites – love those conversation hearts.

5 inside

Mixing a larger sentiment with one or two of the smaller squares really makes the inside of the card look complete.

5 envelope

I wish I had a brand name for that ribbon. I would buy several packs!

Thanks for stopping by to check out my first post of the year – I’m looking forward to lots more cards in 2018. xoxo, Sarah

12 Days of Christmas | Papertrey Ink Gift Card Cozy

As I type this…lots of tiny snowflakes are landing outside my window, lights are in the trees along the street and it indeed feels very much like Christmas in Baltimore.

On to the craftiness…I’m working with some dies from Papertrey Ink, stamps from Ellen Hutson and a paper kit from Echo Park to create some really cute gift card cosies. I’m super happy with how they turned out and you can check out the video here:

Here are the stills:

I thought these might make a good item to sell as a set at some craft fairs. What do you guys think?

green polka

This is totally my favorite but in all honesty it’s hard to beat a polk-a-dot if I’m judging!

The great thing about using these type of paper packs is that they are double-sided and add that extra little pop when opened.

25polka and north

I can’t get over that North Pole stamp, I want to put it on every tag I make this year.

Thanks for stopping by today. xoxo, Sarah
