10 Cards, 1 Kit – Collaboration with Stephanie Harding (Part 1 of 2)

Hello there,

This week I’m doing a collaboration with Stephanie Harding – we each created our own card kits and sent them to one another to use to create 10 cards. This video is of the cards I created with my kit which was based around the new collection from 1 Canoe 2 called Twilight. Here is what I came up with:

Here are some close-ups of the finished cards:

1

This one is my favorite – like I said I loved this paper and the sentiment stickers are so pretty with that shiny gold script. I would buy an entire sticker pack of just the sentiments.

1 inside

I really love the mix of the gray and red and pink and blue in this collection. They’re not colors I would normally put together but somehow they just work.

SOOOO much work, but TOTALLY worth it in the end. The circuit cards are just too clever; who wouldn’t smile opening a card that lights up. If any of you make these type of cards, how many layers of foam tape do you use?

2 inside

I kept the inside sweet and simple, I think the rows of shimmer on the washi tape echo the fireflies a bit.

2 close3

I’m dying over that script font – I must get more of these ephemera packs to hoard.

3 inside

Lawn Fawn’s Peachy Keen ink coordinates perfectly with this collection.

I often ignore those little word phrases or just save them for happy mail, but they work really great for cards too.

There’s something about those moths – I’m not generally into bugs but I think they are so beautiful!

4 inside

I plan on cutting apart the remainder of my larger sheet to create more moth ephemera.

This MFT Fuse green matched so perfectly with this paper collection. I didn’t plan it ahead of time but I LOVE that the stamp on the sentiment piece matches the background paper.

5 inside

Sweet and simple on the inside again – love that gray and pink together.

5 close6

I really wanted some type of anniversary sentiment for this card but I was trying to keep as close to the kit contents as I could. It would have been cute for a Father’s Day card too.

6 inside

That two-tone sentiment is lots of fun.

6 close7

How about that tag fix huh? You’d never guess that it’s torn behind that ribbon.

7 inside

Another gorgeous script sticker.

7 close8

This paper is so beautiful I just wanted to let it shine. Love that pop of red on the flowers.

8 inside

With that ‘just because’ sentiment, I kept the inside blank so it can be used for just about anything.

8 close9

I’m obsessed with these shaker pockets lately – I could make them all day long!

9 inside

Three sweet hearts finish off that sentiment.

9 close10

I can’t believe I waited this long to use that peach – it was another one of my favorites and that sweet striped ribbon coordinates perfectly with it.

10 inside

This Peachy Keen ink is almost the exact same color as the peach cut out. I love how depending on the surroundings this color can look pink or orange.

As always thanks for stopping by to check out my cards – hope I gave you some inspiration and maybe introduced you to a new paper collection you can have some fun with. Don’t forget to leave a comment on the youtube video to enter to win the stamp set! xoxo, Sarah
