10 Cards | 1 Kit – SSS February Card Kit (Part 2 of 2)

Hi-ya!

Hope you’re all having a fabulous weekend. It rained all day today (I’m typing this late at night, so to me it’s still Saturday) but that’s ok – it made for a cozy kind of day. I’m back with part 2 of the Simon Says Stamp February Card Kit. I think this second batch of cards is my favorite, so without further ado here is the video:

Some stills for you:

I’m really happy with how this desk card came out – mine is SOOO much messier though!

I used to be so fearful of cutting stamps, but once you jump in and do it you see how easily they go back together again.

I almost never use embossing folders anymore – this card kit might get me back into them!

It felt a little funny stamping this sentiment in black, but I think all the cameras added enough color for it to make sense.

I wanted to include all kinds of craftyness with this card kit so I was glad I figured out a way to showcase painting.

I have several friends from art school who would love this card – I may have to make a few more!

This is my favorite of the bunch. It took me almost 2 hours to put this together but the end result was WELL worth it. Not sure who is going to get this beauty yet, but it will definitely go someone who will appreciate the time it took to make.

I googled quilting sentiments and when this one came up, I thought it was perfect.

The white overlay stripes really helped to sharpen up the lines of the quilt blocks.

Super simple, but really fun. I think.

The inside needs a little more. I may go back and add some stitching lines or a stamp or two of the scissors before I send it.

Loads of dimension there, no foam tape necessary.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my cards. xoxo, Sarah

  1. Love your technique using this kit. So much originality and working outside the normal box way of showing your talent! Great job! I’m new to card making but looking forward to your next posting.
