Happy Saturday! Well one of these months I’m going to get my 10 Cards 1 Kit video up during the actual month of the kit, but I suppose I’m a bit closer this time. Fingers crossed for June…
As you can tell from my previous two cards, I was really interested in the animation stamps that came with this kit. Here are the cards I came up with:
This was the first time I had used one of the watercolor panels that have come in these kits, in fact I still have some from previous kits that I may pull out and play with. I’m really more comfortable working with the zig pens and I had trouble with the paper pilling, but I really don’t feel like I used too much water. I’ve heard others say that they have had trouble too, so maybe it was the actual paper and not entirely me? Even so, that succulent card ended up one of my favorites.
The animation cards are as I’ve said before, just so much fun. I smile every time I slide one of them.
The kite in the cloudy gray sky is my favorite of the bunch, it’s simple and clean and kite just pops! I had no idea what I would do with that acetate when I unboxed this, but after this card, I’m willing to try more of embellishments like this.
Who doesn’t love a shaker card? Especially one with flamingos telling you to stand tall and be courageous – everyone needs those reminders once in a while.
I didn’t show it on the video, but after I was finished I thought the inside needed a little extra something so I added a line of that pink flamingo washi tape.
Finally here are close-ups of the other more simple cards of this kit, again though I think simple cards are sometimes the best and often they get used way before the others!
